Breast Lift Surgery
A breast lift is a recommended procedure for women with saggy or hanging breasts. If you would like to have more youthful looking breasts or would like to have your breasts to be restored to the look they had before pregnancy and breast feeding, a breast lift is the right move. You should have a breast lift only AFTER your last pregnancy.
Breast lift surgery is done in an operating theater. You will be under general anesthetic. The plastic surgeon will remodel and reshape the breast contour. At the same time excess skin can be removed and firmness will be improved. In many cases the areola and nipple will get a new position.
There are different surgical procedures to perform a breast lift. Your surgeon will decide for the best possible procedure for your case. All of this will be explained in detail during your first consultation at the hospital.
Sometimes, for aesthetical reasons and a most natural look and feel, it may be necessary to have implants as part of the breast lift surgery. Also this will be discussed with you during your first consultation. If you wish, we can use the hospitals 3-D simulator, the Crisalix 3D. That would help you making a better decision by seeing the expected results before surgery.

Before Breast Lift Surgery
In the time before your travel to Thailand, please inform us/the surgeon/hospital of any and all medication that you are taking (also supplements). In the medical questionnaire you will be asked about your medical condition and if you have any allergies.
Medications that contain Brufen or Aspirin should not be taken minimum 2 weeks before your breast lift surgery. This is necessary to avoid excess bleeding during and after surgery.
Smoking can have an affect how you react to the anesthesia. It can also delay how your body heals after surgery.
Do not smoke for minimum 2 weeks before your operation.
If you have hypertension (high blood pressure) please inform your surgeon before your breast lift procedure.
In our correspondence and when you finally meet your surgeon, please discuss clearly the desired look. Your surgeon will ask you for sending in photos before. We will email you the photo guidelines.
After Breast Lift Surgery
You will be staying for minimum one night at the hospital. You will be wearing compression bandage around your upper torso. Please start wearing a surgical bra. We will assist you in getting the right kind and size before your arrival in Thailand.
You will feel tired and there will be pain. This is normal and we will apply cold compresses and ice packs to help with managing the pain and to reduce swelling and bruising.
For several weeks after your breast lift operation you must wear your surgical bra. Other than when you shower or wash the garment, you should wear it at all times for several weeks.
Avoid lifting your arms above your head. We recommend wearing shirts with buttons or a zip, rather than normal t-shirts or pullovers. Do not carry anything heavy. This all applies for several weeks.
We recommend using a cream that contains Vitamin E. This will help with the healing process of the scars. In addition use BCR treatment to speed up the healing and to reduce scars to a minimum or make them invisible.
After about 2 weeks you can resume your everyday activities.
Liposuction alternative
If the skin still has good elasticity and are not too large then liposuction may be an alternative. Over the past few years this became a popular alternative to the above described surgical procedure.
Liposuction will not leave visible scars and you may still be able to breast feed afterwards.
Risks and Complications
Any surgical procedure comes with risks. There can be infection, bruising, bleeding. There may be a change how your nipple feel.
Eventually scars will fade and nipple sensation will return, but it takes time.
